Cultural Tour Ladakh

LADAKH is a land like no other, as it’s Historical background, Art, Rich Culture, Colorful people reflects. Ladakh has been an important trade route linking the Mediterranean to China. Traders came from Tibet in the east, Kullu in the south, Muslims from Balti valley in west and caravans from Central Asia in the north.The inhabitants of Ladakh are distinct from other parts of India. The faces and physique of Ladakhis, and the clothes they wear are more akin to those of Tibet and central Asia. In eastern and central Ladakh, today’s population seems to be mostly of Tibetan origin. Further west, in and around Kargil, there is much in the people’s appearance that suggests a mixed origin. The Ladakhi people are a hospitable, smiling, hardy lot, friendly and open.

DAY 01: ARRIVAL DELHI:
Upon arrival meet to our representative in the internatinal airport, transfer to hotel for overngiht.

DAY 02: DELHI-LEH: (FLIGHT)
Morning transfer to airport,take the flight to Leh over the Himalayan region, if the weathe is clear you have a chance to see the high peaks, On arrival meet to our local staff transfer to hotel, rest of the time leisure for acclimatization, Afternoon visit Sankar Gompa, Shanti Stupa and Tsemo Castle, rest of the tive local market. Overngiht at hotel.

DAY 03: LEH :
After breakfast full day local monasteries sightseeing visit Hemis, Taktak, Chemedy and Thiksey Monasteries. Overngiht at hotel.

DAY 04: LEH :
After breakfast full day local sightseeing visit Matho Gompa, Stok Museum, Shey Palace, Hall of Fame and Spituk Gompa, Rest of the time leisure at local market. Overngiht at hotel.

DAY 05: LEH- NUBRA  OVER KHARDUNG LA (5620M) 120 KM/ 4-5 HRS DRIVE:
Morning drive to Nubra Valley over the highest motorable road Kharkung la Pass, Upon arrival at Diskit, check in Fix tent or hotel. Rest of the time visit local villages.

DAY 06: NUBRA :
Full day local monasteries sightseeing visit Panamik, Sumur & Tirith gompa, later camel safari. Overngiht at hotel.

DAY 07: NUBRA-LEH
Morning drive back to Leh, on arrival check in hotel rest of the time visit local market.

DAY 08: LEH-RAFTING-LOCAL HOUSE:
Morning commence drive to Phey from where we will start the Rafting in the Indus river, till the confluece of Indus and Zanskar River, terminate the rafting at Nimmu, later drive to Basgo, overngiht enjoy the local food with local family... enjoy the folk dance and song with local wine "Chhang" overnight at local house at Basgo. 

DAY 09: BASGO-LAMAYURU-RIZONG-ULEY TOPKO:
Morning drive to Lamayur en route visit Rizong monastery. Continue drive to Lamayuru, visi the 10th centuary monastery and the Moon Land, drive back to Uley Topko, check in hotel rest of the time relax the Resort.

DAY 10: ULEY TOPKO-ALCHI-LIKIR-PHYANG-LEH :
Early in the morning drive back to Alchi, on arrival visit the 11th centuary monastery and local village, drive back to Leh en route visit Likir and Phyang Monasteries. On arrival check in hotel for overnight.

DAY 11: LEH:
Full day leisure for individual activities for shopping etc. Overngiht at hotel.

DAY 12: LEH-DELHI: (FLIGHT)
Early in the morning transfer to airport, take flight to Delhi, on arrival meet to our representative drive to city. Visit Old Delhi Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chadani Chowk, Gandhi Memorial. Overnight hotel.

DAY 13: DELHI-AGRA:
Early in the morning transfer to New Delhi railway station, board train to Agra, on arrival meet to our staff, follow the Full day sightseeing, visit Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Local Marble Market. Late evening take train to Delhi arrival Delhi transfer to hotel for overnight.

DAY 14: DELHI
Morning leisure for individual activities, afternoon visit New Delhi as Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Laxmi Narayan Temple and Lotus Temple. Late everning restaurant through the Government Building. Fare well dinner and transfer to International airport for onward flight.
